I do not list them all the successes here: for some predictions, while very satisfactory to me as a forecaster, unbelievers would say, oh this happens every day, what big deal! A lot of different types of accidents come under such category. In addition, while I cover a lot of countries in my predictions, I do not track news from all the countries to find out what happened, otherwise all my time would go into tracking news rather than do more research on astrological stuff! Hence, sometimes I won’t even know if some predicted event has indeed happened.
This post will be a sticky for the year 2024-25, and I will keep updating it with some of the predictions I make. As a reader, if you know of a very successful prediction which you think I should put it here, do let me know!

Crude oil price sharp movements on account of events in the Middle East during June 2025

Prediction: "The last week of May 2025 and the month of June 2025 could show very high volatility in the crude oil segment, and the crude price may move sharply in both upwards and downwards directions during this period, though overall I am anticipating an upward movement. There may be events on the geopolitical stage, including in the Middle East, during this period that may have a direct bearing on the crude price."

The price of the benchmark Brent crude rose more than 10% on June 13, 2025, reaching its highest level since January 2025.

Iran, serious military strike on the country and its leadership in Spring 2025, and the role of spies

Seasonal prediction made for period: end of March 2025 to end of June 2025
Prediction: "This may be a difficult period for the country. It may bring a serious military strike on the country or its leadership. Spies and underhanded plots are highly active to bring harm to the country." In addition, June 13-16, 2025, were marked by me as critical dates for Iran on my Critical Dates page. I had also said this on the same page: "The period around 15 to 19 June 2025 looks highly likely to bring some huge geopolitical or power-shifting event(s) for the world. The event(s) could happen a few days here or there from this period."

What has happened:
Israel attacked Iran on June 13, 2025. Tehran, the capital, was attacked, and reports, as of the time of writing, are also emerging of attacks on Tabriz. The strikes killed the chief of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards, other senior military figures and nuclear scientists, Iranian state media reported. Many of the initial attacks were launched from within Iran, thus showing that spies were instrumental in these successful attacks.

India, major aviation accident in Spring 2025

Prediction: "More than the usual number of serious transportation accidents." I had also predicted on my Critical Dates page that the "period from 28 Apr to 11 Jun 2025 may see a major air or water accident." In addition, 13 Jun 2025 had been marked as a critical date for India.

What has happened:
At least 290 people, including more than 240 on board, were killed in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad as an Air India plane, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner bound for London, crashed immediately after takeoff, falling on a medical students’ hostel.

United States, feud between businessman Elon Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump

India, stampede outside cricket stadium in Bengaluru

Eleven people were reported to have died, besides numerous injuries, in a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on June 4, 2025, as fans of a cricket league team thronged the venue in tens of thousands.

Russia, military setback during Spring 2025

What has happened:
Ukraine launched a major drone strike on June 1, 2025, hitting multiple airbases in the far, far Siberia, thousands of miles away from the border. At least 41 Russian heavy bombers at four airbases were hit, reports said. This was the largest single-day attack since the Ukraine-Russia war began.
Ukraine’s SBU domestic intelligence agency said it had hit Russian military planes worth a combined $7bn in the wave of drone strikes. The Russian Defence Ministry said Ukraine had launched drone strikes targeting Russian military airfields across five regions.

Russia, major transportation accident in May-June 2025

Two bridges collapsed, in separate incidents involving trains as well as road vehicles, in Russia on May 31-June 1, 2025, leading to several injuries and deaths. The incidents happened in Bryansk and Kursk regions.

India, sex scandal in the news cycle of Spring 2025

What has happened:
A CCTV video showing a man, identified as the husband of a member of India’s ruling party, in a compromising act with another woman, went viral in May 2025. Then, on May 31, 2025, it was reported a woman from Mainpuri filed a complaint against her husband, son of a BJP leader, for coercing her into watching obscene videos of him with a girlfriend. Reportedly, there are 130 such videos doing the rounds.

China, highly active Navy during Spring-Summer 2025

What happened:
China launched large-scale military drills, without warning, around Taiwan on April 1, 2025. Forces from the PLA Navy, Army and Rocket Force were approaching Taiwan from "multiple directions," said China’s Eastern Theatre Command. Chinese Coast Guard was also reported to have seized the disputed reef of Sandy Cay in the Spratly Islands in late April 2025. Then, Reuters reported on May 28, 2025, that China landed two of its most advanced bombers (long-range H-6 bombers) on disputed Paracel Islands in the South China Sea in May 2025.

Iran, strong success of some Iranian film in Spring 2025

Iranian director Jafar Panahi won the Palme d’Or, the top prize at Cannes, for the film "It Was Just an Accident" on May 24, 2025.
In addition, Mohammad Rasoulof’s film "The Seed of the Sacred Fig" continues to do well around the world, picking up a silver in Best Feature Film as well as winning Best Actor award at the German Film Awards, on May 9, 2025.

Australia, floods in Autumn 2025 in New South Wales

More than four months' worth of rain has fallen during May 21-22, 2025, in parts of New South Wales (Australia), leading to widespread flooding and significant damage to property and lives. A natural disaster has been declared in the country.

India, incidents related to land/buildings, transportation and armed forces and relations with a neighbouring country during May 18-22, 2025

What happened:
Several tragedies, each leading to the deaths of several people, happened in the country during May 18-20: Hyderabad residential building fire, Solapur textile factory fire, Kalyan residential building collapse. Several transportation accidents, each leading to deaths of several people, also occurred during May 18-21: Nadia (Bengal) road accident, Mumbai-Goa highway accident, Thanjavur (Tamil Nadu) road accident. The country’s armed forces were also highly active during the period, with at least 27 people, including a rebel Maoist leader, reportedly getting killed in Chhattisgarh on May 21, 2025, in a confrontation with the forces. Relations with groups based in a neighbouring country (Myanmar) have also come into focus as Indian security forces seemed to have tortured and killed 10 functionaries of a resistance group in Myanmar.

China, death of renowned actress Zhu Yuanyuan

U.S. President Trump’s opulent Middle East trip in May 2025

In May 2025, Trump "was feted" by the rulers of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates with "lavish state visits." On the same trip, he was also gifted a $400 million luxury plane from Qatar, a gift he accepted.

Missile strikes by India into Pakistan in early May 2025

What has happened:
On May 7, 2025, India launched missile strikes on several cities of Pakistan and Pakistani-administered Kashmir in a military operation named Operation Sindoor. The Indian authorities said the army hit 9 sites in Pakistan. There were reports in Pakistani media about loud explosions being heard at several places.

Predictions: On February 14, 2025, I published my Spring 2025 predictions for Ukraine. I said: "New treaty, pact or arrangement with a foreign power may be made. A reshaping of resources that are the country's disposal may take place. The country may encounter some financial challenges in this task." Then on April 26, 2025, I tweeted that "The Saturday morning [April 26] talk between Trump and Zelensky in the Vatican should give productive results, and the world could see something concrete coming out of it within 5 days, that is, by May 1, 2025."

Kashmir terror attack on April 22, 2025

At least 26 civilians, mostly tourists, were killed in a terror attack near Pahalgam in Kashmir (India) on April 22, 2025. An Islamist group claimed responsibility for the attack. Several other major distressful incidents happened in Muslim lands in this period, including a massive explosion on April 26, 2025, at a port in Iran, injuring more than 700 people and killing at least five.

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake, with a shallow depth, struck near Istanbul on April 23, 2025. More than 150 people were injured because of panic caused by the strong quake. Several strong aftershocks continue to occur in the area.

Italy, Monte Faito cable car accident

United States, measles outbreak

What happened:
The U.S. has been going through a measles outbreak, which crossed 700 cases on April 11, 2025: 32% of cases occurred in patients under 5 while 38% were reported in those between 5 and 19, according to CDC. Two children have died in the state of Texas.

Australian health authorities have warned hundreds of thousands of people in Sydney to monitor for symptoms after a Legionnaires' disease outbreak, local media reported on April 10. 2025.

United States, deferral of Trump tariffs

On April 9, 2025, US President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs for all countries except China, for which tariffs were hiked to 145%. Later, on April 12, 2025, Trump also exempted several goods from China from reciprocal tariffs, including electronic devices and solar cells.
